Zcash Completes Privacy Ceremony Called ‘Powers of Tau’
Zcash is one step closer to undertaking an upcoming software change with the conclusion of the Powers of Tau ceremony. The event showed that developers, community members, and other participants generate random codes for the Zcash privacy protocol to make it more secure.
Stakeholders can use the random code used to protect the protocol by destroying their computers or otherwise. they somehow survived by wiping the machines used to generate the data.
What Does the Zcash Procedure Involve?
This procedure is used by malicious people as previously detailed by CoinDesk will prevent it from attacking the protocol or creating fake tokens. Sean Bowe, a member of the foundation, explained about the project:
“All the participants did a fantastic job and I am very happy with the variety and openness of the ceremony. Most of the crypto and cryptocurrency communities witnessed what was going on.”
According to the foundation’s Github page, 90 attendees at the event tried various methods to infiltrate the system. Radioactive waste material was used to create and generate these codes that will be neglected later.
All these actions were prepared for the second of two hard forks planned for 2018. While some members of the Zcash community are preparing for the first hard fork called Overwinter, this article has been published for the second hard fork.
