It is seen that the number of applications for trademark registration increased especially in the last months of last year.

NO APPROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION

The businessman, who applied to operate in the textile industry by adding “Bitcoin” to his company name, entered a three-month approval process. . The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office will publish an approval letter in the Official Trademark Bulletin after the similarity search. However, not all applications are approved. For example, the application of the company that came to the institution for the services of construction services, rental of construction equipment and construction equipment was rejected.

A BANK ALSO REGISTERED THE NAME “BITCOIN”

Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and a bank operating in Turkey for Bitcoin, which the Central Bank does not see as a currency, has also applied for trademark registration. The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, approved the application. The bank added the name of its own digital banking service platform to the registration process. The bank also provides cards that allow entry to sports competitions.
