Ripple CEO: Traditional Methods Have Higher Risk of Volatility than XRP

Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse, whose name we have heard a lot with his recent agreements, gave a detailed statement to CB Insights the other day about fintech and their company Ripple.

XRP, which went up to $ 3.5 levels, is currently trading at $ 0.47. It is an indisputable fact that XRP, like all cryptocurrencies, has high volatility.

Garlinghouse’s volatility-risk assessment of cryptocurrencies, especially XRP, is quite unusual. According to him, there is a big misunderstanding about volatility in this market; this misunderstanding is predominantly that cryptocurrencies cannot solve payment problems on a large scale due to high volatility. However, CEO Brad Garlinghouse is against this view:

“I can complete an XRP transfer in 3 seconds, so the time I have to take the risk of volatility is only 3 seconds. Or of course, I can make the transfer with a national currency using traditional methods such as Swift. This transfer usually takes 3 days. 3 days makes 270,000 seconds, which is almost 100,000 times the XRP transfer time. I can confidently say that XRP certainly carries a lower risk of volatility than traditional methods…”
