Lieferando, the German version of Yemeksepeti, started to accept Bitcoin
Lieferando, Germany’s largest food and food platform, which we can define as the German version of Yemeksepeti, has officially integrated Bitcoin into its systems.. Users on the platform will be able to pay using Bitcoin.
Lieferando has generated over $18 million in revenue as a regional food platform in its early years. It was then acquired by Netherlands-based Takeaway.com, with its fast-growing user base and growing popularity.
The Takeaway.com development team integrated Bitcoin in 2013.. Lieferando also accepted Bitcoin as a payment method after its acquisition by Takeaway. Most of the subsidiaries, including Pizza.fr, began accepting Bitcoin with its acquisition by Takeaway.com.
Before taking Takeaway.com, Lieferando briefly accepted Bitcoin from 2014 to 2015.. However, later on, the company removed the Bitcoin integration.
Why are companies accepting Bitcoin so quickly?
Large-scale companies in many countries of the world started to integrate Bitcoin into their systems rapidly.. So why is this happening? Because company owners are relieved of the burden of paying credit card commission fees. Bitcoin fees are quite low compared to credit card commissions.
This is the biggest reason for now, but once SegWit is activated, transaction fees will become even cheaper and the network will become even more efficient.. This will likely increase business owners’ demand for Bitcoin.
