Giant German exchange wants to launch Bitcoin products
According to the news in Bloomberg, Deutsche Börse, owner of Frankfurt Stock Exchange, one of the largest stock exchanges in the world, founded in 1585, is considering offering crypto money products.
At a meeting held in London on Wednesday. Speaking at the industry event, Jeffrey Tessler, one of the company’s executives, said, “We have a deep business with him. Before we move forward with something like Bitcoin, we want to make sure we understand the underlying process.” He said that the company is still trying to understand the volatility of the Bitcoin market and wants to see customers and regulators on the same axis before moving forward with any proposal.
A move to offer Bitcoin products is not yet certain, but the exchange is already active in the Blockchain space
Last June, Deutsche Börse revealed various details about its plan to move most of its post-trade services to a Blockchain. Meanwhile, in March, the group announced that R3 will develop a platform for more efficient securities lending using Corda Blockchain technology.
