Bitcoin Warning from the Chief Advisor to the President

The President’s Chief Advisor, Ertem, warned about Bitcoin and said, “It should not be used as a savings tool until regulations emerge.”

“There is speculation here. Could this be a pyramid scheme? It can’t be, but it could be a speculative tool. Let’s not use it as a savings tool until regulations emerge here. Can it go to an alternative system against the dollar and the euro, after the regulations” he said.

“CURRENCY ESTIMATION IS WRONG”

Concerning the exchange rate forecasts of institutions Ertem said:

“In a country that implements a floating exchange rate regime, in a country where capital inflows and outflows are free, it is necessary to doubt the expertise of those who make dollar forecasts. Neither of these hold up. We are talking about a system where billions of transactions come together. There is nothing wrong than estimating the exchange rate here.”
