Greenpeace, one of the first NGOs to add Bitcoin to its donation system, announced that it changed its mind after recent discussions. Ecological NGO Greenpeace stated that the cryptocurrency network has stopped accepting bitcoin donations due to its huge impact on the environment.

In an article published this week, the NGO said, Although they did not receive many donations in the form of cryptocurrency, they have announced that they will be removing this payment function.

Greenpeace was one of the first NGOs to add Bitcoin to its donation system and thus adopt it. However, after the recent discussions, the organization stated that they reviewed their previous decision and found it more appropriate to stop Bitcoin donations.
Greenpeace first started receiving Bitcoin payments through Bitpay in 2014.. However, new areas of discussion have been opened for the crypto money that has grown since then.
Bitcoin is instantly traded at the level of 35,000 dollars.. While Bitcoin continued to lose power with the effect of the decisions taken, its market value fell to 657 billion dollars.
