Privacy Focused Koin Verge (XVG) Twitter Account Hacked
In the ironically unexpected turn of events, the Twitter account of privacy-focused cryptocurrency Verge (XVG) was hacked yesterday. No funds were compromised, and the breach is limited to his social media profile only, Verge team members said on Telegram. he said they can get the floor. This scam tactic has been used frequently in the blockchain space for a few months.

At the time of this writing, hackers have received a total of 195 XVG ($7 worth) “donations”, according to The Verge’s blockchain research portal:

Verge officials claimed that with this attempt, hackers planned to infiltrate the Yahoo database of lead developer Justin Vendetta (better known as Sunerok) to gain access to personal accounts.
Hackers tricked AT&T customer service representatives into copying the phone number associated with Vandetta’s personal account to a new SIM card. This way, they were able to bypass Twitter’s two-factor authentication mechanism.
The hackers also claimed to have stolen one billion XVG coins after infiltrating Verge’s Twitter account.. Verge officials, on the other hand, denied these allegations, saying that “no money was stolen.” thank you for. Very nice. XVG regained access to the account. Stay tuned!”

Verge started its operations after this small venture without any major loss in value.. According to Coin Market Cap, it has lost six percent in the last 24 hours and is currently at $0.032.
In December last year, controversial security pioneer John McAfee experienced volatility after proposing the Verge coin in one of its ‘Coin of the Day’ series.
