Şişecam, which was established to meet Turkey’s glass needs and still continues to serve, has made an investment of exactly 1 billion liras. Continuing to contribute to the Turkish economy and employment since the day it was founded, Şişecam has invested 1 billion liras in Ankara‘s Polatlı district despite the coronavirus epidemic.

The new furnace at the company’s flat glass production plant in Polatlı has made Şişecam a leader in Europe. The new furnace with a capacity of 240 thousand tons will be commissioned on Friday. Making sales to more than 150 countries, Şişecam’s new investment will increase its production capacity and support the Turkish economy and employment.
Şişecam Deputy Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kırman made a statement on the subject and stated that as a result of the investment, employment will increase by 30 percent and reach 300 people. While expressing their hard work during the epidemic period, Kırman added that they will continue their strategic moves in line with their business areas in the future periods.
