Endless Uses of Wireless Network Technology
Ericsson and a team of researchers from the Royal College of London have conducted futuristic research that predicts future uses for 5G technology.We are closer to 5G connectivity technology than we have ever been before. This new generation wireless network technology will serve humanity in many different areas, from autonomous vehicles to virtual reality, from smart cities to robots that are always connected to a network. So in what other areas can we use 5G technology? Ericsson teamed up with researchers from the royal college in London to imagine futuristic applications of 5G.
The team initially focused on transferring physical skills between networks using technology, calling it the ‘internet of talents’. For example; Thanks to a virtual reality headset that detects movement and pressure, a surgeon can perform surgery by directing a robot on the other side of the world. Even though it sounds like a frivolous idea, it wouldn’t be a surprise to happen in the future.
Other than that, thanks to 5G, even music education can be given with gloves connected to the network. The technology can record the muscle movements that occur when a piano master plays his composition. Gloves developed with high-end technology can give lessons to the person who wants to learn to play the piano with these muscle movements by imitating the muscle movements of the piano master.
