Russian Ministry of Finance is working to legalize Bitcoin

Russia’s Ministry of Finance is working on a bill to legalize digital currencies, including Bitcoin, by the end of the year. The Central Bank is also working on this issue.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told Russia 1 television on Saturday that they are preparing a draft law to regulate the circulation of digital currencies.

‘By the end of the year.

Siluanov noted:

“All countries are working to legalize the use of this financial instrument and there are many variables, so there is one price today, another price tomorrow. A regulation is needed to prevent investors from being deceived. The Ministry of Finance will prepare this bill by the end of the year.”

The Minister further stated that banning digital currencies such as Bitcoin makes no sense and that they should be regulated by law.

On the other hand, the country’s central bank is also working on legalizing digital currencies.
