Russia moves step by step towards legalizing digital currencies
Russia seems to have come pretty close to legalizing and regulating digital currencies.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev said in an interview with the Russian central bank Voskhod, the country’s first digital currency exchange platform.
Trutnev said, “We are considering the possibility of creating a platform for trading digital currencies. The central bank supports us in this regard.” he said and added:
“Voskhod became the first system in the country to legally acquire the right to work with digital currencies.”

The developments regarding Bitcoin in Russia are progressing faster than any other country. In the latest news, it was noted that Bitcoin mining companies and the country’s giant energy companies such as Gazprom could form a partnership. In addition, it was suggested that the Moscow Stock Exchange will allow the buying and selling of digital currencies.
Russian authorities have been working for a while to draw a legal framework for digital currencies and that official legislation has been announced.
