European Central Bank President speaks about Bitcoin in European Parliament
European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said in a statement today that they are working to identify any financial stability risks from digital currencies, however, banks have not seemed very willing to invest in Bitcoin so far.

Speaking at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Draghi said, “We do not observe anything like the systematic holding of digital currencies by the audited institutions. In fact, credit institutions… not very keen on digital currencies like Bitcoin.”
‘Banks should measure the risk of holding digital currency’
The President also said in his speech to the lawmakers, “Bitcoin and other digital currencies are entering the unregulated area and should be considered as very risky assets. we need to understand. Banks should weigh the risk of holding digital currencies in their portfolios accordingly.”
Finally, Draghi added that the European Central Bank is working to identify the risks posed by digital assets.
